Before the days of Crunchyroll, Netflix, and HULU, anime fans in America used to have to go to clever, if not somewhat illegal lengths to get their fix. 'Japanimation' was new on the shelves, and sometimes choosing a random title yielded more than you bargained for. And before you could go to Barnes and Noble for an S.H. Figurarts toy, finding anime inspired goods for your collection was bootleggingly impossible! Join Loryn Stone and Scott Zillner as they humorously recount anime fandom in the 80s and 90s and some of the downfalls of trying to be a pre-internet Otaku!
